The other bank
The Korenlei faces the Graslei across the water, and for centuries the two banks were business rivals. This side took its name from corn — grain was unloaded and traded here. The old warehouses and guild houses still stand shoulder to shoulder, reflecting in the Leie. It's quieter than its famous twin, which makes it the better spot to actually sit down. Order something, watch the boats, and let Ghent drift past.
