The quay where Ghent got rich

This is the Graslei, one of the prettiest stretches of water you'll ever point a camera at. Once this was a working port: grain, and later much more, came in by boat and the guild houses lined up to do business. Each facade is a different trade showing off. Now it's café terraces, bobbing boats and the best view in the city. Sit for five minutes and count how many people stop to photograph the same four houses.
