The church in the middle of the shopping street
Saint Nicholas' Church dates from the early 13th century and wears its age in the best way: layered, a bit battered and entirely itself. It survived iconoclasm, fires and changing fashion, and now sits between shopping streets as if it had always been there — which, more or less, it has. The interior holds art and tombs worth a slow lap. A church that outlasted every shop around it.
