Nine thousand artworks and a calm face

The Museum of Fine Arts — the MSK — holds more than 9,000 works, with Flemish and European painting at its heart: Bosch, Brueghel, Rubens and many more. The building itself is calmly grand, built to make looking easy. Give yourself an hour in the old masters and you'll leave with your eyes recalibrated. It's one of those museums that rewards going slowly and looking at fewer things, better.
