The botanical garden

Ghent University's Botanical Garden is a green classroom that's been collecting plants from around the world for centuries. Glasshouses, labelled beds and quiet paths make it a favourite for anyone who needs the city to go down a few decibels. It began as a teaching collection for medicine and science and grew into a genuine public garden. Free, calm, and full of things that would rather you listened than talked.
